There are two types of agency participation: Case Management and Resource-Only. Both of these agency types play a vital role supporting client needs and identifying community resources for referrals.

Case Management Agency Participation

If a non-profit agency is providing disaster case management and would like to participate in CAN, there are three steps:

  1. Register your agency: designate a Point of Contact and provide names of 3 collaborating partners.
  2. Have your agency's leadership complete the Case Management Agency Participation Packet.
  3. Once the application is approved, an Agency ID will be issued which is required before individual user accounts may be created.
The online registration establishes a Point of Contact for your agency who is responsible for authorizing new user accounts, communication with users about system changes as well as closing user accounts.
Please read the Roles and Responsibilities of Points of Contact.

Resource-Only Agency Participation

If your agency would like access to the other CAN tools such as the Resource Database and Community Calendar but are not eligible for case management access, there are two steps:

  1. Have your agency's leadership complete the Resource Participation Packet.
  2. Once the application is approved, an Agency ID will be issued which is required before individual user accounts may be created.
