CAN Webex Training Instructions |
|
CAN training is offered using ATT Teleconferences Services and WebEx Meeting Center. You will be viewing a demonstration over the internet which will require you to install software on your computer. The audio portion is over the phone. For more information on WebEx Meeting Center please see the Webex support page.
Please read the following instructions prior to your training day and prepare your computer for the WebEx session.
Step 1: Notify Your Network Administrator Before Training
If you have a network/system administrator, forward a copy of your registration to him/her and ask them to assist you in preparing your computer for a WebEx training. You will need assistance installing the required software to view the web portion of the CAN training. The software necessary for Webex Meeting Center may be installed in advance. To test that your computer is ready for the WebEx session, please go to the WebEx test page.
Step 2: 15 Minutes Prior To The Training Join The Audio Conference Call
- Locate the conference call dial-in number and access code in your registration confirmation sent to your email address.
- Dial the conference dial-in number and enter the access code as prompted.
- You will immediately join the conference call.
- The session will start when the trainer joins the line.
- As a courtesy to others and to improve sound quality, please mute your phone when not speaking.
- If you do not have a mute function on your phone you may:
- *6 to mute your line.
- *6 to unmute your line.
Step 3: Join The WebEx Meeting
If you have difficulty following the instructions below, dial *0 after you join the conference call and ask for "Webmeeting Assistance." Inform the technical assistance representative that you are participating in an WebEx session and need assistance joining.
Prepare your computer by following the instructions below:
- Turn off any pop-up blockers on your web browser before logging onto the web conference.
- Go to https://www.webmeeting.att.com
- Enter the following information on the login page provided in your registration confirmation:
Meeting number: this is a 10 digit code Access Code: this is a 7 digit code Email Address: your agency provided email address Name: first and last name
- Hold down the control (Ctrl) key on your keyboard, and click "Submit." The login information page will load.
- On the login information page, click on the Participants button.
- If this is your first time joining a WebEx session, your computer may prompt you to install ActiveX Controls or Java and then "Meeting Manager". You will need to install these programs to attend the web meeting. Remember to follow the instructions on the screen. The CAN trainer has limited ability to assist you remotely. This process may take up to 10 minutes, depending on your Internet connection.
**While waiting for the installation, do not click on your screen.
- If the installation is successful, you should be viewing the trainer's desktop. The trainer is now sharing their computer's desktop with you.
